Jungkook Reacts to Home Intruder: ‘You Won’t Get Out Unless I Open the Door’

Date:

BTS member Jungkook has vowed to take strict action against repeated invasions of his privacy following the arrest of a woman who broke into his residence.

The incident occurred on August 30 when a woman in her 40s was apprehended by Yongsan police in Seoul for trespassing in the underground parking area of Jungkook’s home. Authorities reported that the woman followed a vehicle through the entrance, loitered around the building, and attempted to flee when officers arrived. She allegedly told police incoherently that she had entered because it was “a friend’s house.”

Jungkook addressed the incident during a birthday live-stream on Weverse on Monday. “I was watching everything from home. When the police arrived, she tried to run out of the basement car park in a panic,” he said. He also criticised her claim of being a friend, noting, “ARMY are all like family and friends, but this was just upsetting.”

The singer issued a stern warning to potential intruders: “If you come here, I will lock you in. Everything is recorded, so the evidence will be secured and you will be taken away. If you step into my car park, you will not get out unless I open the door. So if you don’t want to end up at the police station, never come.”

This is not Jungkook’s first encounter with privacy violations. In June, a Chinese woman in her 30s was caught repeatedly entering his home using his door code. In 2023, he also warned obsessive fans, known as sasaengs, against sending food deliveries to his residence, saying he would track and take action if it happened again.
