Daily:Direction member E-Van has allegedly come under fire after reportedly selling a long-sleeved Diesel jacket that was said to have been gifted by a fan.
The issue went viral on X after a user known as @happy_sunday_x claimed the item originally belonged to them and was given to E-Van, 22, during his time with his former group Mirae.
The situation escalated further when the singer was accused of listing the item as a personal purchase made in Japan.
In the online listing, the jacket was reportedly priced at 150,000 KRW (around RM350), lower than its original value of approximately 280,000 KRW (about RM650).
The fan also shared screenshots of private messages allegedly showing conversations with the seller, including references to the account believed to belong to E-Van.
Following the backlash, E-Van is said to have apologised to the fan, admitting that he did not think carefully before putting the gifted item up for sale.
The incident has since sparked wider discussion among fans about the ethics of artists selling gifts received from supporters, as well as the sensitivities surrounding fan–celebrity relationships.
