Kevin Jonas Almost Went Bankrupt After Band Disbanded

Kevin Jonas has revealed that he lost nearly all of his wealth after the Jonas Brothers disbanded in 2013, leaving him with just 10% of his fortune. Speaking on The School of Greatness podcast with Lewis Howes, the eldest Jonas brother, now 37, opened up about the financial hit he took nearly a decade ago due to a “bad business deal.”

“I’ve seen the beginning of financial success, not knowing what money really was… to losing almost all of it,” Kevin shared.

He explained that around nine years ago, he invested heavily into property development, but the venture soured due to a poor partnership. “Sadly, it just wasn’t the right partnership,” he said, without going into further detail.

Fortunately, the Jonas Brothers’ 2019 reunion offered Kevin a financial and professional lifeline. “We had a second shot… and it actually was kind of fortuitous in a way. I learned this lesson — never wanted to learn it, but I did.”

Now, Kevin and his brothers Joe and Nick are preparing to release their upcoming album Greetings From Your Hometown on August 8, followed by a North American tour beginning August 10.
