KPop Demon Hunters emerged as one of the biggest winners at the 83rd Annual Golden Globes, taking home awards for Best Motion Picture – Animated and Best Original Song – Motion Picture for its hit track “Golden.”
The film, which was nominated in three categories at the ceremony held at The Beverly Hilton, faced stiff competition in the Best Animated Feature category, including Arco, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, Elio, Little Amélie or the Character of Rain, and Zootopia 2. Songwriters EJAE, Mark Sonnenblick, Ido, 24, and Teddy earned the Best Original Song honor, competing against tracks from Avatar: Fire and Ash, Sinners, Wicked: For Good, and Train Dreams.

KPop Demon Hunters was also nominated in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category, alongside titles such as Avatar: Fire and Ash, F1: The Movie, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Sinners, Weapons, Wicked: For Good, and Zootopia 2. The award in that category went to Sinners.
The Golden Globes victories come just a week after KPop Demon Hunters won the same two awards at the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards, cementing its status as a leading contender in both animation and original song categories.
Looking ahead, the film has received 10 Annie Award nominations, including Best Feature, and is also nominated for Best Feature at the 2026 Producers Guild of America Awards.
Fans and industry insiders alike will be watching closely on Thursday, Jan. 22, when the Academy announces nominations for the 98th Annual Oscars. With its recent wins, KPop Demon Hunters is widely expected to contend for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song at the ceremony, scheduled for March 1, 2026.
