Local Celebrity Denies Fake RM450,000 House Painting Bill After Social Media Backlash

Date:

Sensation-seeking entrepreneur Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri has hit back at allegations that he fabricated the staggering RM450,000 price tag for repainting his luxury residence. The 39-year-old businessman, whose full name is Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman, insisted that the figure is entirely accurate and reflects the massive scale of the project. He explained that his home is over a decade old and that the original exterior and interior paint had significantly faded over the years, necessitating a complete overhaul.

Addressing the scepticism from the public, Aliff stated that he was not attempting to show off but was simply sharing the reality of maintaining such a large property. He revealed that the walls had never been repainted since he first moved in, and the natural wear and tear over ten years had made the refresh essential. Despite many netizens accusing him of lying about the expenditure, he maintained that the quotations provided by contractors justified the high costs for the extensive work required.

The entrepreneur further clarified that the total price covers the entire structure of the massive mansion, which involves specialised labor and high-quality materials. He expressed his frustration over the disbelief from social media users, noting that the scale of his home is vastly different from a standard residential unit. According to Aliff, the professional breakdown of the costs left him with no choice but to invest heavily to restore the building’s aesthetic appeal.

In addition to the painting controversy, Aliff shared that other aspects of his home’s interior have remained unchanged for a long period. He mentioned that the curtains in his residence have not been replaced since the family first settled in the house, suggesting that he prioritises large-scale maintenance when things eventually wear out. This latest revelation has once again placed the businessman in the spotlight, sparking further discussions about the costs of luxury living in Malaysia.

As the news continues to trend across social media platforms, Aliff has stood firm by his claims, challenging critics to understand the logistical demands of his property. He reiterated that he has no reason to deceive his followers regarding his personal expenses. The situation serves as another example of how the entrepreneur’s lifestyle choices frequently become a subject of intense public debate and scrutiny within the local digital landscape.
