Netflix has officially announced that a sequel to ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ is in production. Directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans will return to lead the project, having signed what Netflix describes as a “multi-year writing and directing partnership.”
The original film, released on June 20, 2025, became an instant global phenomenon, quickly rising to become Netflix’s most-watched movie of the year.
Its success earned two Oscar nominations for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for its hit track “Golden,” which also secured a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
Fans of HUNTR/X can look forward to the franchise’s highly anticipated return, with more details expected to be revealed in the coming months.
