Actor Song Joong Ki opened up about his views on opposite-sex friendships during a recent appearance on Yoo Yeon Seok’s YouTube series Weekend Yeonseokdrama – Yoo Bar Lee Talk Bar, where he was joined by co-star Chun Woo Hee.
The discussion turned to relationships, with Chun Woo Hee jokingly remarking that if her boyfriend’s female friend approached him with worries, she wouldn’t understand why she wouldn’t just solve it herself—or even ask ChatGPT—prompting laughter.
Yoo Yeon Seok weighed in, saying, “If someone is going to cause trouble, they will regardless. If plans are already set, I’d say, ‘Have a good time,’ but I’d expect her to stay in touch.”
Song Joong Ki echoed a relaxed perspective: “I don’t really care that much either.” However, when Chun Woo Hee pushed further, asking, “What if she met him alone at 10 PM?” both Song and Yoo quipped in unison: “There’s no reason to meet at that time. That’s when you should be sleeping—or watching our drama My Youth,” drawing laughter from the crew.
Song, who married British actress Katy Louise Saunders last year, is a father to a son and a daughter. His upcoming JTBC drama My Youth, co-starring Chun Woo Hee, is set to premiere on September 5.
