Taiwanese entertainer Chu Yu-mou, also known as Wish, has been dragged into a major controversy after actress Lin Ni-an made a series of explosive social media posts accusing a 37-year-old “well-known male celebrity surnamed Chu” of having a chaotic personal life.
In her posts, Lin alleged that the man, later confirmed by his agency to be Chu, used his celebrity status to approach women with clear intentions, claiming he had a pattern of multiple relationships and inappropriate behaviour. She further alleged that he had been physically aggressive towards past partners and engaged in repeated casual encounters, raising serious concerns about his conduct in private relationships.
Lin also claimed that she discovered numerous condoms in his residence and personal belongings, and alleged that he frequently visited other women’s homes and hotels. She further accused him of pressuring partners into repeated use of emergency contraception and portraying himself differently in public compared to private interactions. The posts quickly went viral, with Lin urging women to remain cautious.
Following the allegations, Chu Yu-mou responded through his management team, acknowledging that he and Lin had previously attempted to date but ultimately separated due to incompatibility. He apologised for any discomfort caused during their interactions but strongly denied some of the more serious claims, stating that he would reserve legal action if false accusations continued to spread.
The controversy has triggered widespread discussion online, with many netizens debating the validity of the claims and calling for clearer evidence. As the situation develops, both sides remain firm in their positions, while Chu’s representatives say they are monitoring the spread of online statements closely and will respond accordingly if necessary.
