Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce are officially engaged. The couple, both 35, announced the news on Instagram Tuesday, Aug. 26, sharing photos from a floral-filled garden proposal.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift captioned the post, while proudly showing off her custom Artifex Fine Jewelry engagement ring designed by Kelce.
The announcement follows months of growing public attention on their relationship. Earlier this summer, Swift joined Kelce on his New Heights podcast, where the pair opened up about their connection. Swift described Kelce as “a vibe booster in everyone’s life” and praised his humor and down-to-earth personality.
Their romance first made headlines in 2023, when Kelce revealed he tried — and failed — to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number at her Eras Tour concert in Kansas City. A few months later, Swift surprised fans by attending a Chiefs game, sparking dating rumors that quickly turned serious.
Since then, the couple has shared key moments both on and off the field: Swift cheering Kelce’s Super Bowl victory, Kelce joining Swift onstage at London’s Wembley Stadium, and the two traveling across the globe to support each other’s careers.
Swift previously revealed to Time that the pair quietly spent significant time together before going public, saying she was “grateful” they got to know each other privately.
With their engagement, Swift and Kelce are marking a new chapter in their whirlwind love story that has captivated both music and sports fans worldwide.
