Budget 2026: Tax Deductions For Donating To Anti-Corruption Programmes

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced that the government plans to grant tax deductions for anti-corruption programmes organized by civil society organisations (CSOs) recognised by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), designating them as national interest projects.

He added that donors contributing cash to these approved initiatives will also be eligible for income tax deductions, encouraging greater public participation in the fight against corruption.
