A 15-year-old boy has died after being allegedly stabbed by his neighbour in Mamajang, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, following a dispute over noise disturbance.
The incident reportedly took place on Monday when the victim was playing an online game with several friends in an alley near the suspect’s home.
The situation is said to have escalated after the group allegedly caused noise that disturbed members of the suspect’s family, who were resting at the time.
The victim was initially warned by the suspect’s family to keep the noise down. However, tensions rose when the suspect later arrived at the scene and allegedly attacked the teenager with a knife without warning.
According to Makassar Police Public Relations Chief Commissioner Wahiduddin, investigations are ongoing and authorities are currently tracking down the suspect, who fled the scene after the incident.
