19-Year-Old Allegedly Kisses 8-Year-Old at Children’s Park, Says He’s Just Playing

Date:

A disturbing incident occurred at the Children’s Playground in the Kaohsiung Native Plant Garden when a 19-year-old male college student allegedly kissed an 8-year-old boy on the lips multiple times while the child was playing. Concerned parents noticed the behavior and immediately alerted the boy’s mother, surrounding the student and confronting him before calling the police.

The student claimed he was “just playing” with the child, but both the boy and his family felt uncomfortable. Authorities have since filed reports under child protection protocols and reminded parents to stay vigilant and teach children to assertively refuse inappropriate contact.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the student initially playing on the slide with the boy, then suddenly grabbing the child’s shoulders and kissing him on the lips. After the second kiss, the witnesses intervened, and a third kiss reportedly occurred before the student tried to hide near an elderly stranger. The boy became frightened and cried, while parents confronted the student directly.

According to the Kaohsiung Zuoying Police, the boy later told his mother that the contact involved only light forehead-to-forehead touching. The child was unharmed, and his family has chosen not to press charges.

Eyewitnesses and other parents expressed concern, emphasizing the importance of watching children closely and teaching them to speak up if anyone touches them inappropriately.
