A tragic accident occurred recently at a water park in Croatia, where a German toddler under the age of two died after falling from a waterslide.
According to the New York Post, the incident happened on the afternoon of the 22nd at the Aquagan water park. The toddler was playing on the waterslide with her father when she accidentally slipped from his arms and fell approximately 3.5 meters (about 11.5 feet) onto the concrete below.
The father was devastated, visibly distraught and unresponsive to onlookers’ concerns, crying out, “Don’t ask me anything, my daughter is dying.”
Emergency responders at the water park arrived promptly and managed to revive the girl temporarily before she was airlifted by helicopter to a hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, due to severe internal and external brain injuries, the toddler passed away early the next morning.
Authorities described the incident as “one of the most serious accidents in the past 20 years” and expressed deep shock and sadness. A police investigation is currently underway to determine whether the ride was unsuitable for children of that age or if the park failed to implement proper safety measures.
