A man has died after falling from a tractor while working at an orchard in Kampung Bukit Rawa, Sedim, Malau, yesterday.
Acting Baling District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Ahmad Salimi Md Ali, said the Malau Police Station received a report from a member of the public at around 4 p.m. about a man found lying on the ground with blood on his face at the scene.
Following the report, the Malau Police Chief, along with officers and investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Baling District Police Headquarters, arrived at the location to conduct further investigation.
“Preliminary findings revealed that the victim, a 28-year-old man from Kampung Gelugor, Karangan, Kulim, was found unconscious at the scene with facial injuries. The victim had gone to the orchard with a caretaker to carry out work and is believed to have fallen from a tractor while working,” he said in a statement today.
Ahmad Salimi added that the victim’s body was sent to the Forensic Unit of Baling Hospital for a post-mortem examination, and the case has been classified as sudden death.
