30 Illegal Immigrants Arrested in Police Raid at Nilai Construction Site

Date:

An integrated operation carried out by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) at a construction site in Nilai yesterday resulted in the arrest of 30 illegal immigrants.

Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the raid, conducted under Ops Pintas Mega, was led by the Nilai District Police Headquarters (IPD) Criminal Investigation Division.

He said a total of 63 foreign workers were inspected during the operation, with 30 found to be without valid travel documents.

“Thirty men, comprising 21 Chinese nationals, two Bangladeshis and seven Myanmar nationals, failed to produce identification documents or valid work permits,” he said in a statement today.

The individuals were taken to the Nilai IPD for further investigation, while efforts are ongoing to trace the employers and other parties responsible.

The case is being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 (Act 155).
