The search for a family’s missing member in a plantation along Jalan Kambau, Kampung Perepat, Tanjung Sedili ended tragically after 30-year-old Mohamad Norshafe Mohd Jamadil was found dead.
Mohamad Norshafe, who had been reported missing on 2 March, was discovered lifeless atop a tree not far from the location where he was last seen.
A family member revealed that the young man was found by his father, Mohd Jamadil Hakim, around 4.30pm on Friday.
“Yes, my brother was found on a tree. When he was discovered, he was not moving. He had passed away after being missing for four days,” the relative told Kosmo!
The family suggested that Mohamad Norshafe may have climbed the tree while alone, and his disappearance was only noticed when his father realised he was missing, finding only his wallet and identification card.
Earlier reports noted that Mohamad Norshafe had gone missing in the plantation on Monday while assisting his father with clearing the area.
His mother, Azizah Buhari, 52, who resides in Skudai, was informed of her son’s disappearance by her former husband, who discovered that Mohamad Norshafe was missing from the plantation hut.
The young man went missing after his father briefly left to attend to a sick plantation worker.
