A man was found dead in a seated position on the floor of his bedroom at a house in Kampung Alor Pulai, Jalan Kangar-Alor Setar, Seriab, last night.
Kangar District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Yusharifuddin Mohd Yusop, said police received information about the discovery from the man’s neighbor at around 9:40 p.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the body of a 45-year-old man sitting on the floor behind the door of his bedroom.
“Police inspections at the scene and on the body found no signs of foul play,” he said when contacted today.
Initial investigations revealed that the deceased lived with his mother and sister, who is a person with disabilities (OKU).
According to neighbors, the man was last seen on Thursday night.
The body has been sent to the Forensic Medicine Unit at Hospital Tunku Fauziah (HTF) Kangar for a post-mortem examination.
Police have classified the case as sudden death (SDR).
