700 Officers Deployed for Sarawak’s Christmas Road Safety Campaign from Dec 23–28

Date:

The Sarawak police will roll out a major road safety campaign across all districts from December 23 to 28, ahead of the Christmas holidays.

Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said 700 officers and personnel from multiple divisions will be deployed to raise public awareness on safe driving, legal compliance, and to help curb accident rates during the festive season.

“Officers will be stationed at key accident-prone areas to ensure smooth and controlled traffic flow,” he said in a statement.

He also reminded motorists to follow traffic rules and heed instructions from enforcement teams throughout the celebrations. Stern action will be taken against those who break the law.
