Driver Hospitalised Following Collision with Bus on Jalan Wan Alwi

A man was taken to hospital after his sedan crashed into a bus on Jalan Wan Alwi early this morning.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a team from the Tabuan Jaya fire station was deployed following a distress call received at 5.43am.

The incident involved a car and a bus, which was unoccupied at the time of the crash.

“The male driver was found trapped inside the sedan, although he was not pinned to his seat. There were no passengers or driver on the bus,” Bomba stated.

Rescuers used specialised equipment to extract the victim from the vehicle before he was rushed to hospital for medical treatment.

Firefighters later conducted cleanup operations at the scene, concluding the rescue at 7.19am.
