A young boy went missing after slipping out of his home unnoticed while relatives were visiting.
According to the boy’s father, Mr. Wong, relatives had come over yesterday afternoon, and the boy was excitedly going to greet them and enjoy the treats they brought.
However, while the adults were distracted, the boy quietly left the house. When the family realized he was gone, they immediately searched the nearby road but found no trace of him.
Family members then combed the woods in front of their home and discovered the boy’s shoes not far from the house. They subsequently searched a nearby small river, but the boy was still missing.
The missing boy is the eldest child in the family, with a younger sister who recently celebrated her first birthday. The boy has autism, so his family is especially attentive, and they had never taken him to the woods or river near their home.
This afternoon, search teams split into five groups to continue the operation, while the family entered the forest holding incense and joss paper, calling out: “Kaixing, come home…” The search efforts are ongoing along the riverbank.
