A BMW was crushed by a falling tree in an incident along Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, on Wednesday afternoon.
Operations Commander Senior Fire Officer I M. Jayamohan said his team received an emergency call at 1:03 p.m. via the Fire and Rescue Department’s Operations Centre hotline.
“A total of eight firefighters and officers from the Titiwangsa Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene with one fire engine. Upon arrival, we found that a tree had fallen onto a BMW,” he said in a statement.
Fortunately, the driver escaped uninjured.
Police officers and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) personnel were present at the scene to manage traffic and clear the fallen tree. The operation concluded at 1:56 p.m., with cleanup efforts handed over to DBKL.
