Traders in Taman Dusun Setia here have reportedly been left frustrated after an elderly woman was believed to have repeatedly defecated in front of shop premises, with the incident going viral after CCTV footage surfaced online.
The matter gained public attention following a social media post shared on the NegeriSembilanKini Facebook page on Saturday, which claimed the act had occurred multiple times and forced business owners to clean up human waste almost weekly.
According to the post, shop operators had eventually installed closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras after repeated incidents, which later allegedly captured the woman’s actions at around 6am.
One trader said the intention of sharing the post was not to shame anyone, but to seek assistance from the woman’s family members to intervene and help manage the situation.
“We have not had the opportunity to meet her yet and we do not intend to embarrass anyone,” the post read, adding that repeated occurrences had made it increasingly difficult for traders to remain patient while trying to run their businesses.
The trader also expressed concern over the impact on daily operations, noting that the situation had become distressing for those working in the area.
A reference was made to a popular local film quote to highlight the tension among shop owners, suggesting that persistent incidents had led to growing frustration within the community.
Despite the complaints, traders reiterated their hope that the matter could be resolved peacefully and that the situation would not recur, while urging family members to step forward if they recognise the individual involved.
