The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued continuous rain warnings ranging from danger to alert levels, affecting several states from today until tomorrow.
According to MetMalaysia director-general Dr Mohd Hisham Mohd Anip, a danger-level warning issued at 8.45am involves parts of Pahang, namely Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin.
A severe-level warning has also been issued for Pahang (Jerantut, Maran and Bera), Terengganu (Dungun and Kemaman), and Johor (Segamat, Kluang, Mersing and Kota Tinggi).
Meanwhile, a moderate-level (alert) warning is expected to affect Kelantan; Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu and Marang); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong and Temerloh); as well as Selangor.
The alert-level warning also covers Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor districts including Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Bahru.
