Customs Seizes RM800,000 Worth of Prohibited Sex Toys in Puchong

Date:

The Customs Department seized almost RM1 million worth of prohibited sex toys during a raid at a warehouse in Taman Perindustrian Putra Puchong on Sept. 30.

Federal Territories Customs Department director Wan Norizan Wan Daud said authorities confiscated 18,140 adult toys, covering 30 different types and 20 brands.

“Based on our checks, the estimated value of the seizures is around RM800,000,” she told reporters at the Federal Territories Customs Office.

The confiscated items are classified as “absolutely prohibited goods” (barang larangan mutlak) under the First Schedule, Item Five of the Customs (Prohibition of Imports) Order 2023, meaning their import and sale in Malaysia are strictly forbidden.

Authorities are investigating the case further to track the source of the goods and the intended distribution network for online sales.
