DBKL Cracks Down on Unlicensed KLCC Photographers, 14 Fined

Date:

Unlicensed photographers offering paid photography services around the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) faced enforcement action after the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) carried out a special crackdown yesterday.

The operation, conducted along Jalan Ampang and Jalan P. Ramlee on 4 February, targeted individuals engaged in commercial photography without approval from the local authorities.

DBKL, in a statement, confirmed that 14 compound notices were issued to photographers found violating By-Law 3(1) under the 2026 Kuala Lumpur Licensing of Hawkers and Petty Traders By-Laws (WPKL).
