DBKL Cracks Down on Unlicensed KLCC Photographers, 14 Fined

Unlicensed photographers offering paid photography services around the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) faced enforcement action after the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) carried out a special crackdown yesterday.

The operation, conducted along Jalan Ampang and Jalan P. Ramlee on 4 February, targeted individuals engaged in commercial photography without approval from the local authorities.

DBKL, in a statement, confirmed that 14 compound notices were issued to photographers found violating By-Law 3(1) under the 2026 Kuala Lumpur Licensing of Hawkers and Petty Traders By-Laws (WPKL).
