Two gang leaders were shot dead by Malaysian police in the early hours of the morning while allegedly scouting for their next burglary target.

Authorities revealed that the armed gang, known for carrying weapons such as machetes, primarily targeted residential homes, including terrace houses and bungalows.
In a press conference held at the scene, Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (Intelligence/Operations) DCP Datuk Fadil Marsus said police seized a revolver, an automatic pistol, and a large collection of burglary tools during the operation.

According to Fadil, the two suspects were in a Honda Civic with fake license plates and were acting suspiciously while looking for their next victim. They were intercepted and fatally shot after resisting arrest.
The syndicate, believed to be made up of at least 15 members, has been linked to over 50 burglary cases across Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, and Perak. Authorities believe the gang could be responsible for even more crimes that have gone unreported.
The fatal encounter took place at around 3:45 AM along Jalan Semerah Padi in the Cheras Old Town area of Kuala Lumpur.
Police estimate the gang has caused losses of more than RM2 million over the past two years. After a long investigation, Bukit Aman launched a raid that resulted in the deaths of the two key suspects.
