A 72-year-old man tragically passed away inside his car while on his way to a dialysis session early this morning along the Kuantan Bypass, near Sultan Ahmad Shah Airport.
The victim, identified as Ng Ngan Chai, was single and lived with his two younger brothers. According to reports, Ng suddenly felt unwell while driving to the dialysis centre and pulled over to rest inside his vehicle. Passersby who later discovered the car attempted to wake him but found that he had already passed away.
The head of Ng’s village told China Press that he received news of the death at around 7am and was deeply shocked. He noted that Ng had left home at approximately 5am for his dialysis appointment and had appeared energetic just two days prior.
“Although he suffered from multiple chronic illnesses and had a leg amputated, Ng was always in good spirits and had a loud, booming voice. Everything seemed normal when I last saw him,” the village head said.
Ng’s body has been transported to Ji Shan Hall for funeral arrangements, leaving family and community members mourning the sudden loss of a lively and resilient individual.
