Elderly Man Injured After MPV Crashes Into Food Stall in Kuala Pahang

Date:

An elderly man was injured after his multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) crashed into a food stall in Kampung Kuala Pahang earlier today.

The 74-year-old driver is currently receiving treatment at Pekan Hospital.

According to Peramu Fire and Rescue Department chief Wan Samsul Effendi Wan Mahmud, the man had been driving alone from his home in Kampung Bentan towards Kuala Pahang when the incident occurred.

“When our team arrived, the victim had already been pulled out of the Toyota Unser by members of the public,” he said, adding that the stall was empty at the time.

Initial investigations suggest the victim may have lost control of the vehicle, possibly after accidentally stepping on the accelerator, causing the MPV to slam into one of the stall’s pillars.
