Elderly Man’s Head Trapped In Bus Door As Vehicle Continues Moving In Terrifying Taiwan Incident

Date:

A shocking incident involving a public bus in Taichung has sparked public outrage after an elderly passenger’s head was reportedly trapped in the bus door while the vehicle continued moving for nearly 30 seconds.

The incident happened on Friday afternoon aboard a Route 72 bus while a man in his 70s was attempting to get off the vehicle.

According to witnesses, the bus doors suddenly closed just as the elderly man was exiting, trapping his head outside the door while the rest of his body remained inside the bus.

Terrified passengers immediately began shouting at the driver after noticing the man stuck between the doors.

“You trapped someone! His head is stuck!” passengers could reportedly be heard yelling in panic.

Despite the alarming situation, the bus allegedly continued moving for several more seconds while the elderly passenger remained trapped and unable to free himself.

Passengers inside the bus then collectively demanded that the driver stop the vehicle and reopen the doors, creating a tense and chaotic atmosphere onboard.

Witnesses described the scene as extremely dangerous, with many fearing the man could have suffered serious injuries.

The incident has since triggered criticism not only over bus safety procedures but also over the driver’s alleged response afterward.

According to passengers, the driver reportedly failed to immediately check on the elderly man’s condition after reopening the door.

Some witnesses further claimed the driver appeared to blame the elderly passenger instead, allegedly complaining that the man had moved too slowly while exiting the bus.

The incident has reignited public discussion in Taiwan over passenger safety on public transportation and whether stricter safety checks are needed to prevent similar accidents from happening again.
