A woman and a man, both foreign nationals, were found dead with stab and slash wounds at Jalan Austin Heights 8/3 on Monday.
Johor Bahru Selatan District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat, said authorities received a report of the incident at 7.47 pm.

The incident was witnessed by a 23-year-old foreign woman and a 27-year-old local man, who attempted to stop the suspect from continuing the attack. Both witnesses were injured and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital. The motive behind the attack remains under investigation.
“The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which carries a death sentence or imprisonment of 30 to 40 years, and not less than 12 strokes of the cane if convicted,” Raub said.
