Foetus Found in Bukit Jalil Garbage Truck with Severe Injuries

A male foetus was discovered in a garbage truck in Bukit Jalil, Cheras, yesterday, suffering multiple serious injuries.

Cheras District Police Chief ACP Aidil Bolhassan confirmed the foetus, around 25 weeks gestation and measuring 35 centimetres, had a fractured skull, abdominal injuries, and a severed umbilical cord, according to Bernama.

The foetus was found at 12.30pm by a worker from an environmental management company while unloading trash into the truck.

ACP Aidil said statements have so far been recorded from four individuals to aid in the investigation. The case is being probed under Section 315 of the Penal Code, which addresses offences related to preventing a child from being born alive or causing its death after birth.
