Foreign Man Arrested for Threatening Residents with Weapon in Kepong Apartment

A foreign man was arrested yesterday after allegedly brandishing a sharp weapon and acting aggressively at an apartment in Taman Wangsa Permai near Kepong.

Gombak District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir, said the incident occurred at around 11:30am and the suspect was detained with the help of members of the public.

A police report has been filed under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Inspector D Velraj at 013-3631913 or the Gombak District Police Headquarters Operations Room at 03-61262222.

A video of the man being apprehended by police, which shows him causing a commotion, has circulated widely on social media.
