Police in Selangor have apprehended a foreign national in Puchong on suspicion of killing a female compatriot by slashing her neck in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, on Monday.
Nilai police chief Johari Yahya said the 42-year-old suspect was arrested near Saujana Puchong at approximately 12.55am. Authorities believe the attack was linked to a RM10,000 debt the suspect owed the victim.
Following the arrest, the suspect led police to the location where he allegedly disposed of the murder weapon – a retractable blade – along with the victim’s belongings.
Johari added that the suspect confessed to slashing the woman’s neck after she threatened to expose him online over the debt.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
