A shocking gang rape case involving a schoolgirl in Baling has been reported, with the assaults allegedly occurring at multiple locations, including an empty classroom and an oil palm plantation.
Kedah Police Chief Datuk Adzli Abu Shah stated that the victim was allegedly assaulted separately by four suspects.
“The classroom incident happened in the afternoon after lessons had ended in the morning, while other assaults took place at the oil palm plantation, but not at the same time,” he explained.
The attacks are believed to have occurred around April this year. One of the suspects, aged 17, is reportedly the victim’s boyfriend. Among the four suspects, one is a former student who was expelled, while the remaining three are still enrolled at the same school.
Police seized mobile phones containing sexual videos showing indecent acts involving the victim.
“Even though the acts appeared consensual, the victim is underage and not mature enough to understand the consequences,” Adzli said.
Investigations found no evidence that the videos were sold, though they were shared, including by the victim.
“The police urge schools, parents, and the community to cooperate in addressing such issues. This case is being investigated under Section 375B of the Penal Code and Section 8 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act for the distribution of child pornography,” he added.
Adzli praised the school’s disciplinary teacher for promptly notifying the victim’s mother, who then filed a police report, enabling authorities to act swiftly.
