A woman has recounted a terrifying road rage incident on social media after an enraged motorcyclist hurled a rock at her car, shattering her rear window and damaging the front windscreen. The attack, which occurred along the Pasir Gudang Highway in Johor, has sparked widespread anger online, with many calling for immediate action against the motorcyclist.
According to her Threads post, the incident unfolded as she was merging into a car lane after passing the Bukit Indah Toll Plaza. Despite signalling, a motorcyclist sped up from behind, honked aggressively and flashed his middle finger as he passed. He then struck her right-side mirror.
The woman said she attempted to follow him to capture his number plate, but the situation escalated further. Near a tunnel, the motorcyclist picked up a rock and chased after her vehicle. His first attempt to throw it failed when she accelerated.
However, when she was forced to stop at a traffic light, the motorcyclist managed to throw the rock from behind, smashing the car’s rear window and causing additional damage to the front windscreen.
Following the attack, she lodged a police report at the Taman Perling Police Station out of concern for her safety. She also tried to file a report in Singapore—believing the motorcyclist might be Singaporean—but was unable to do so without SingPass authentication.
The woman apologised to nearby road users who witnessed the incident.
Online users expressed outrage over the unprovoked aggression, with many describing the act as potentially life-threatening.
“This is attempted murder,” one commenter wrote, while another highlighted the danger to children, saying: “Imagine if a kid was in the backseat… the injuries would be horrific.”
Several netizens tagged Singaporean authorities, urging them to investigate and take swift action.
