Ghana Prophet Buys $100K Mercedes With Followers’ Donations – Says Apocalypse Postponed

Date:

Self-proclaimed Ghanaian prophet Ebo Enoch has announced that the rapture he predicted has been postponed. Enoch had claimed that the world would be destroyed by a massive flood on December 25. After the day passed without incident, he told his followers that God had granted him more time to expand his “ark project.” According to Ghana Web, Enoch has already built around 10 arks and insists that God has answered his prayers.

The announcement comes amid reports that Enoch used donations from his followers to purchase a $100,000 Mercedes-Benz, raising questions about how he managed funds meant for the ark construction.

Enoch had told his followers that December 25 would mark the rapture, a day when the world would be consumed by a great flood. He claimed that God instructed him to build the arks, similar to Noah’s biblical mission, and asked his followers for money to fund the project. Some supporters reportedly sold their belongings to contribute. Videos circulated online showing people gathering with their possessions, ready to board the arks ahead of the predicted catastrophe.

Despite the failed prophecy, Enoch posted videos inspecting the arks to maintain belief among his followers, emphasizing that no one had received a special message to board and that every believer was welcome.

The concept of the rapture holds that God will take believers to heaven, leaving others behind. Other religious figures, such as South African pastor Joshua Mhlakela, continue to predict future dates for the event, claiming all believers—living and dead—will rise to meet the Lord.
