A HK Express flight from Da Nang, Vietnam to Hong Kong descended into chaos after a couple got into a heated argument over allegations of prostitution and physical abuse — forcing the cabin crew to remove them before takeoff.
According to the South China Morning Post, the incident on Sunday caused the flight to be delayed by nearly an hour and a half.
Viral videos showed the couple arguing at Da Nang International Airport’s boarding area before boarding HK Express flight UO559. The woman accused her boyfriend of hiring prostitutes and physically assaulting her, while the man retaliated by accusing her of cheating and having mental health issues.
The situation escalated once onboard, as the woman insisted on sitting next to her boyfriend and allegedly shoved a flight attendant who tried to calm her down, causing the crew member to fall.
Cabin crew eventually ordered both passengers off the plane to ensure the safety of others.
In a statement, HK Express apologized for the disruption and emphasized that the safety of its passengers and crew remains the airline’s top priority.
