Johor Shaken Again! Magnitude 3.2 Earthquake Rocks Segamat Area

A minor earthquake struck Johor, Malaysia, at 8:59 a.m. on August 27, 2025.

The earthquake occurred at coordinates 2.33°N and 102.79°E, registering a magnitude of 3.2. Its epicenter was located 18 km south of Segamat, Johor, at a depth of 10 km.

Tremors were reportedly felt across much of Johor and southern Pahang.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) is closely monitoring the situation and urges anyone who felt the earthquake to fill out a survey form via the provided link.
