A man in London was seen laughing and fist-bumping on a night bus just an hour after allegedly fatally stabbing a university student, in a case that has shocked jurors and the victim’s family.
Dino Donaldson was found guilty of murdering 21-year-old accounting student Anojan Gnaneswaran following a drug-related confrontation at Strawberry Hill station in Twickenham, south-west London.
Court proceedings heard that the confrontation began over a small drug transaction before escalating into a violent dispute that ended with the victim being chased and stabbed multiple times on railway tracks.
Shortly after the attack, Donaldson was captured on a Ring doorbell recording allegedly boasting about the killing, with prosecutors saying he described the stabbing in graphic detail to an associate.
Footage later showed him boarding an N87 night bus, where CCTV captured him smiling, laughing and exchanging a fist-bump with another passenger despite the fatal attack taking place shortly earlier.

Investigators from the British Transport Police traced his movements using surveillance footage and arrested him days later after he was found hiding inside a cupboard at his home.
A search of his property reportedly uncovered drugs, while forensic evidence linked him to items recovered near the scene, including a knife used in the attack.
Authorities described the killing as a senseless act of violence driven by a drug deal dispute, while the victim’s family paid tribute to the student as a bright and accomplished young man with a promising future.
Donaldson has been convicted of murder and is expected to receive a life sentence when he is formally sentenced in June.
