KL Sex Ring Busted: RM1K Special Services

Date:

A coordinated police operation on Thursday evening (July 16) led by Bukit Aman’s Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) has uncovered a sex syndicate operating out of hotels and rented apartments in Kuala Lumpur. The raids, conducted under Op Noda, were initiated following a public tip-off.

Acting JSJ Director, Datuk Fadil Marsus, confirmed that 21 individuals were arrested, including a 44-year-old Malaysian man believed to be the syndicate’s key operator. The detainees comprised both locals and foreign nationals:

  • Malaysians – 2
  • Chinese – 8
  • Mongolians – 3
  • Uzbeks – 3
  • Japanese – unspecified
  • Russians – unspecified
  • Vietnamese – 1
  • Laotian – 1

Datuk Fadil revealed that the syndicate advertised the women’s services through a website, which included profile photos and package rates ranging from RM400 to RM1,000. Clients would contact a listed phone number via text, after which they would be discreetly sent the location and room number.

To avoid detection, the syndicate spread its operations across multiple hotel floors and rented apartment units. During the raids, authorities confiscated 59 condoms, 21 towels, multiple mobile phones, 16 access cards, and RM4,470 in cash, believed to be earnings from the illegal activities.

The case is being investigated under several laws, including Section 372B of the Penal Code, Sections 55B and 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63, and Regulation 39(b) of the Immigration Regulations 1963.
