Klang Residents Alarmed After Drive-By Shooting Caught on CCTV

Date:

Another shooting incident has rocked Klang, this time reportedly occurring late at night in Phase 19 of Taman Sri Sentosa in the southern part of the district, sparking public concern and fear.

A video of the shooting quickly went viral, triggering a wave of angry online comments. Many netizens criticized Klang’s deteriorating security, with some comparing it to violence-ridden Colombia in South America.

As of now, police have not released any official details regarding the case. It remains unclear whether the shots fired at the residence resulted in any injuries or property damage.

When contacted by media, the South Klang police confirmed that a shooting had taken place but declined to provide further details, stating only that the case is still under active investigation. A full statement will be released once the probe is complete.

Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from a nearby home, timestamped at 11:07 PM on July 24, shows two individuals riding a motorcycle circling the residential area. They eventually stop in front of one of the houses. The pillion rider then dismounts and fires three shots at a neighboring house, taking two steps closer before firing the third round.

The entire shooting lasted only about two seconds. The gunman quickly jumped back onto the motorcycle, which was still running, and fled with his accomplice. Despite the barking of dogs in the area, the suspects carried out the act swiftly and without hesitation.

Police arrived at the scene later that night to begin forensic investigations and collect evidence.

The motive behind the shooting remains unknown. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
