Residents in several parts of Kuching will face a temporary water supply interruption tonight from 10 pm until 2 am tomorrow, as Sarawak Water Sdn Bhd (SWSB) conducts flushing works for the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) Redline Project.
The disruption, caused by the flushing of a newly installed DN 1000mm MSCL pipe, will affect areas including Jalan Tun Jugah, Jalan Bintangor, Jalan BDC, Jalan Stutong, Sama Jaya Industrial, Jalan Canna, Jalan Wan Alwi, Lorong Setia Raja, Jalan Usaha Jaya, Jalan Durian Burung, Jalan Luis, Jalan Kempas, Jalan Seladah, Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho, Jalan Kumpang, Jalan Song, Jalan Foochow, Jalan Primat, Jalan Lumba Kuda, Jalan Muara Tabuan, Lorong Jalan Kedandi, Jalan Keranji, Bayor Bukit, Jalan Urat Mata, Jalan Tabuan Dayak, Jalan Stampin, Jalan Stampin Timur, Jalan Stampin Barat, Jalan Kenny Hill, Jalan Jelutong, Gala City, Kuarters Gunasama, and surrounding neighborhoods.
During the maintenance period, affected residents may experience low water pressure or no water supply. Water tankers will be deployed to assist, and road users are advised to exercise caution as work is carried out along the affected areas. Traffic management personnel will also be present to ensure safety.
