Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has announced that Malaysia Airlines will restart limited services to Doha beginning July 2, following Qatar’s decision to reopen its airspace to international carriers and the gradual resumption of operations at Hamad International Airport.
In a statement, MAG said the move comes after the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), confirming that airport operations are now ready to resume under coordinated flight arrangements through a designated air corridor.
The airline will initially operate one daily service, flight MH160/161, while additional frequencies MH164/165 and MH168/169 will remain suspended until October 24, subject to further safety and operational reviews.
MAG said it will continue to monitor developments closely, including ongoing risk assessments and updated NOTAMs, before fully restoring its Doha flight schedule.
Separately, the group said its pilgrimage arm, Amal by Malaysia Airlines, continues to operate scheduled flights to Jeddah and Madinah. A total of 110 flights across two phases are being conducted, carrying 15,620 pilgrims for the haj and umrah season.
