Malaysia Airports Warns of Possible Delays Amid Worldwide Airline System Disruption

Date:

Malaysia Airports has warned of possible disruptions to check-in and boarding procedures following a temporary issue with a global passenger processing system used by multiple airlines worldwide.

In a Facebook post, the airport operator said airlines have activated contingency measures, with staff on hand to assist travellers as needed. Self-service kiosks remain fully operational, allowing passengers to print boarding passes and baggage tags.

Passengers are advised to follow instructions from airline and airport personnel, check their flight status with airlines, and make use of online check-in where possible.

Malaysia Airports stressed that the situation is being closely monitored across all airports, with passenger safety and comfort as the top priority, and coordination with airlines is ongoing to minimise any inconvenience.
