The Malaysian Army has detained 10 Myanmar nationals who tried to cross illegally into Malaysia from Thailand.

The group, comprising four men and six women aged between 19 and 35, was arrested after authorities intercepted their movement. Several of them were found carrying Myanmar identification cards and passports.

During the operation, authorities also seized personal belongings such as mobile phones and cash in multiple currencies. A Mitsubishi Pajero used in the attempt was confiscated, though the suspected smuggler driving the vehicle managed to flee back into Thailand.
