Man Fears Someone Will Steal His Penis, Locks It With Rings Then Ends Up In Hospital

Date:

A bizarre incident in Thailand saw a man rush to the hospital after his genitals became severely swollen — all because he locked them with a metal and plastic ring out of fear that someone would steal his penis.

According to The Thaiger, the man, from the Satuek district, was admitted to the hospital on October 6 after suffering from painful swelling in his genital area. He reportedly told doctors that his penis measured 69 centimeters long and that he had locked it with two rings — one made of stainless steel and the other of plastic — because he believed a local environmental volunteer was planning to steal it.

Since the hospital lacked the proper equipment to remove the rings, staff called in the Wang Kluea Rescue Foundation for assistance. Using a grinding machine, rescuers carefully cut through the two rings over a tense 10-minute operation. Although they successfully removed the objects, the man’s genitals remained swollen, and he was later referred for psychological evaluation to assess potential hallucinations or mental health conditions.

Rescue worker Narong Saengprasert, who participated in the operation, said he was stunned when he saw the man’s condition. He explained that one of the rings appeared to be a fishing rod component, and both were tightly clamped around the base of the penis, causing significant pressure and swelling.

This is not the first such case in Thailand. Earlier this year, a man in Pattaya had to seek medical help after getting a metal ring stuck on his genitals, claiming he had heard it could enhance sexual performance. In another case in Bangkok, a man attempting to enlarge his penis by placing 11 metal rings around it ended up collapsing after being unable to urinate.
