The shocking death of 27-year-old Nurminah, who was shot with an air rifle, has captured widespread attention.
Her body was discovered in a septic tank sealed with sand, stones, and cement in Desa Perampuan, West Lombok, Indonesia.
Her boyfriend, 31-year-old Imam Hidayat, has emerged as the main suspect in this brutal murder. Following the incident, Imam reportedly used Nurminah’s phone to send fake messages to her family, including one stating, “I am going to Singapore with friends,” in an attempt to mislead them.
In a recent statement, Nurminah’s cousin, Ahmad Ridwan, described the suspect as extremely dangerous. “We no longer even call him a psychopath. If there is a term beyond that, then that’s what he is. We still cannot believe she was killed in such an inhumane way. This goes beyond all limits,” he said on Tuesday.
Ahmad added that Imam had a history of abusive behavior towards Nurminah throughout their relationship. “He even slapped her at her workplace,” he claimed.
For the record, Nurminah, who worked at a satay shop, was reported missing on August 10, and her family filed a police report two days later. The suspect was arrested on August 22, with the authorities announcing the discovery of her body the following day.
