A man’s swift kung fu-inspired action prevented a potential accident involving several schoolgirls in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.
According to a video shared by Syed Shukri on Facebook, three female students from Sekolah Kebangsaan Port Dickson (SKPD) were crossing the road when a speeding car nearly hit them.
Fortunately, the brave man, identified as Abdul Rauf, ran across from the opposite side and used a kung fu-style move, successfully averting the accident. He then reportedly scolded the driver, as the traffic light was red at the time.
Syed Shukri, the chairman of SKPD’s Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG), praised Abdul Rauf’s courageous actions. “Thank you, Abdul Rauf, for your effort, care, and bravery. We at the PIBG truly appreciate it. One day we’ll come to learn that kung fu move from you,” he said.
The incident has been taken seriously, and a police report has been filed to ensure student safety is improved. “This could have led to a serious accident involving students. Thankfully, nothing bad happened, and we hope all drivers remain vigilant and slow down when passing school areas,” Syed Shukri added.
