The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning with heavy rain and strong winds affecting the Federal Territory of Labuan and nine states, valid until 7pm today.
In a statement, MetMalaysia said the severe weather is expected to cover the entire state of Terengganu, as well as Perak (Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim) and Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Bachok, Machang and Pasir Puteh).
In Pahang, the affected areas include Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Bera and Rompin, while in Selangor the warning covers Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Hulu Langat.
Meanwhile, in Negeri Sembilan, the areas involved are Jelebu, Seremban, Kuala Pilah, Rembau, Jempol and Tampin, while in Johor it includes Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru.
The warning also extends to several districts in Sarawak, including Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Kapit (Kapit and Bukit Mabong), Bintulu, Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi) and Limbang.
In Sabah, the affected areas are the Interior, West Coast, Sandakan (Tongod, Telupid and Beluran) and Kudat.
