A motorcyclist was injured after being hit by a car that was attempting to avoid a collision on the Damansara–Puchong Expressway (LDP) near Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
The incident, which occurred at 3.36pm on Friday, left the victim, who was on his way to work, with a fractured right arm, cracked ribs, and a toe injury.
Based on viral footage of the incident, the crash began when three Honda cars collided in the left lane of the busy highway.
The vehicles involved were a Honda Jazz, a Honda City Hatchback and a Honda City, with traffic reportedly congested at the time.
Following the initial collision, a Proton Saga travelling behind the vehicles is believed to have swerved suddenly to the right lane in an attempt to avoid the crash.
However, the manoeuvre caused the Proton Saga to collide with the motorcyclist, throwing him onto the road.
The motorcycle was also flung into the opposite lane, where it struck a Perodua Alza.
According to a social media user who is also a colleague of the victim, the motorcyclist is currently receiving treatment at hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
“Alhamdulillah, he is now stable and still in hospital. He has a fractured right arm, cracked ribs and a broken toe.
“Please pray for his recovery. Thank you,” the user said.
